PORTRAITS

Project Homeless

Connect

In 2006 I became a volunteer portrait photographer for Project Homeless Connect a nonprofit organization that provides services for poor and homeless people in San Francisco.  The people I've photographed receive copies of their portraits and many also give oral histories of their experiences of being homeless.  To date I've taken portraits of over 2000 people.

An exhibition titled "Acknowledged" with 55 of these portraits was on view from January 28 to March 25, 2012 at the San Francisco Main Branch Library's Jewett Gallery, 100 Larkin St., San Francisco, CA 94102. (See Reviews by clicking on NEWS tab on my home page for details.)
